Patricia Hendricks Shihan is a 7th Dan Aikido teacher whose work has reached students around the world through teaching, demonstrations, seminars, books, videos, and online training.
Mother & Master follows her path from childhood in Atlantic City to traveling across the United States at age 19 and discovering her passion for Aikido and martial arts. It explores the people who influenced her journey—especially her teacher Morihiro Saito Shihan—and the courage, tenacity, faith, and inclusion behind her career.
The biography was published for the celebration of the dojo’s 40th anniversary and Hendricks Shihan’s 50 years in Aikido.
